'Berners Lee is a British computer scientist who invented the World Wide Web.' He was born on the 8th of June 1955 and lived in London. When he grew up he went to Oxford University to study physics. As a career he become a software engineer. He created the first website on the 6th of August 1991, explaining and giving information about the idea of the internet and world wide web. Due to his great success' he has gained and been awarded many titles and honours such as; Millennium Technology Prize, Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering and a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth. Since his success with the world wide web he has become a professor at a university, whilst being the founding director of the World Wide Web Foundation.
